Welcome to our blog!

First off, a big shouting 'Hello!' to everyone, and welcome to the blog of globetrotters Peter & Shujan.
This blog is our way to keep friends and family up to date with our world trip, planned to start on the 1st of October. Yes, ofcourse we won't forget our homebase ;-) We plan to update this blog regularly, as long as there is an internet connection available.

Also, if you want get to know us better, take a look at the Biography section. For those who prefer to watch pictures, feel free to browse our Pictures... a picture says more than a thousand words right?

Lastly, don't forget to check out the travel map. This wonderful piece of technology enable us to display accurate information of our travelling progress and our current staying.

That being said, we hope that this blog will provide you with enough material to get a taste from our

adventures abroad.

Hi guys, how are you doing?
Thanks for the emails I received, really nice to see that you still thinking about me. ;)

Just a short update:
After 4 days of pitching people in Gibraltar, a lot of people were helping me searching for a boat. And finally the maritime owner informed me that he found one!

I will leave tomorrow morning and we think we´ll be at there in about 5 days. It´s a 12-13 meter long monohull(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monohull) owned by a guy from France. So I will definitely improve my French in the following days.

A longer update will follow from Santa Cruz, the place where I´ll have to find another boat to cross the Atlantic (which will be easier with a bit of experience by then).

I found out that only members could leave comments, I fixed it.. so feel free to write something!

What is the "Honors List" all about?

So you've been browsing this site for a while now, and stumbled on The Honors List.

Curiosity fills your mind, and sooner or later you start wondering: what is this all about?

This is the answer: 'The Honors List' is a list with people who have helped us in one way or another, thereby reminding this world that acts of pure altruism will always exist.

Then there are two ways to get ON the Honors List:

1. You can increase our survivalrate of our low-budget 'tour de monde' with some percents, by transferring small amounts of money to our shared bank account. This will be greatly appreciated, since we might be starving at times. In exchange, we will pray at night and sing a song for you.

2. If you have any chores for us like wiping your windows, have us cooking for you.. or you just want to have a good time listening to our stories, enjoying our company.. Then why don't you invite us? To do this, send an email to socialplanet@gmail.com and we will put you on the list. Of course we can't promise you that we'll visit you within the next week, but give us some time and we will try our best to drop by!
[disclaimer: ofcourse it is not always possible for us to visit you since we are low-budget travellers and totally dependent on the goodwill of the people we meet... hence the title Social Planet]

For those who question the benefit of being on The Honors List, take note:

If you get on this list, very good things will happen to you.
1. When we meet you, we will put our biggest smile on and laugh extra hard at the jokes that you tell.
2. Animals and pets will start to like you. If they already liked you, they will fall in love with you instead.
3. You're name will be written all over the stars of the sky.
and lastly,
4. You're sense of humor will increase by 61,3%.
